Not Dead.... just transfixed

Let me say that while it looks like I totally dropped the blogging ball on the last day of April and blew off my own blogiversary that, as the cliche goes, looks are deceiving. I've written a ton since then... in long hand. Yes folks, long hand. I am after all a pen and ink geek. But I wrote out of necessity and not out of desire. I was stuck in the kind of space that only someone who was accidentally phased into another reality with a cranky Romulan could understand. I assume since none of you are Ensign Ro or Geordie LaForge that description means very little. But it means lots to me. And I am determined not to suffer that kind of torture again.

So now that I am back online and in the right phase of existence I will be posting. The thing that I wrote need to be edited and a couple things need to be finished. There is a post about chick flicks and the dangers they present to the reality that we all live in. There is a post about being careful from whom you receive assistance. There may be a post similar to the Wheaton's insurance rant from a week ago. It would seem I am not the only victim of their chain yanking though my wounds are slight be comparison. There is a post about why I like German music that will be a tribute to Matthias Reim. Why not Sting?

Don't get me wrong; I still love Sting. I will always love Sting. He is my first mentor, an example of emotional strength and courage to be vulnerable and honest about the things in life that we all go through. The post on Matthias Reim is more about the voice as an instrument. You can also look forward to a small lecture on taking care when choosing your friends. I'm also thinking about digging out a new list of personal rules in the same vein as Leffler's Laws. I think that I have about 9000 of them, but I'll just hit the highlights.

But the most important post will be the thoughts I have been mulling on the subject of mental and emotional health. I know that we have reality based bills that need to be paid. But one can make a case, not for reckless spending, but for making sure that there is sufficient support to keep you healthy enough to work to pay those reality based bills.

Until next time....
