Lesson #3

In this last year I learned that you just have to live your life, play the hand you're dealt and cut people loose who just refuse to accept that it is your hand. Life is a lot like Poker. Sometimes your hand is so crappy you have to fold, sometimes you can make it better by trading out a couple of cards, sometimes you get a pair and sometimes you get the flush and sometimes you can bluff your way to a win. And most importantly a bluff is always beaten.
If the dealer knows your cards you're not holding them close enough to the vest and you get cheated. The dealer can't tell you what to bet or how to play. The others at the table don't get to tell you how to bet, what to hold, when to fold and what to trade. These are all your own choices. In life you have to make your own choices. The people who want to make them for you do not have your best interest at heart.
