And one of those bizarre things is the way other people's minds combine things. For instance Nena's 99 Luftballoons and Rammstein's Du Hast. I found it on you tube this morning.
It's funny how well the two blend until someone got a little impatient and ran Nena over with some heavy Rammstein lyrics. And my brother said it couldn't be done.
He doesn't know music geeks very well does he?
OMG, I was soooo hot for Nena back in the day. The Krout version ruled. So did Falco's Der Kommissar. Not back for a couple of Nazis.
ReplyDeleteSo it has been a little over 5 years since I wrote this post. And you commented on it. FIVE whole years!!!!! My Matthias Reim thing has swelled to Sting proportions. And BTW, calling Nena a Nazi is not exactly accurate. But we won't argue, we can't since you are in the Great Beyond and I am stuck here for the time being. You better be saving me a good seat.
ReplyDeleteNena has a new album, Oldschool. Matthias is on his anniversary tour and another album is due in th Fall. I'm not at Cambria. I am now a head housekeeper and we've got a brand spankin new hotel.
Someone dug waaaayyy back in the archives to read this post. It showed up in my stats. Yes, I still look at that to see what people are reading. So there you are again. You haven't even been gone a year. It is killing me that we can't talk about all the changes. It's been a hard 5 months, my friend.
